Poem Recitation

"I saw Susie sitting in a Shoeshine shop. Where she sits, she shines and where she shines, she sits." It was not easy at all! But undoubtedly easy for our Omites. Poem recitation demands mastery in performance. The physical presence, voice, articulation, dramatic appropriateness, rhythm, intonation, and proper pronunciation are the basic criteria required. We, in Open Minds ease the children to make them comfortable with the audience. We master them with physical presence, including appropriate body language and confidence. Finally, the charismatic teacherstudent bond turns up the Omites to become Masters in performance. They become experts without appearing artificial. Here in Open Minds, we train our children for good projection to the audience, capture the attention including the people in the back row. We make our Omites confident and articulative enough to avoid making the poem hard to understand. Further, they are trained for line breaking and pause, presenting in a natural base, showing expertise in voice modulation, accents, and accuracy in pronunciation. We here in Open Minds make strong performers relying on powerful internalization of the poem emerging out as gems to be cherished.
